Associate Professor of Industrial Design at the Design School of the Politecnico di Milano
Marinella Ferrara is an Associate Professor of Industrial Design at the Design School of the Politecnico di Milano, senior researcher at the Design Department and Coordinator of MADEC, the Research Centre of Material Design Culture. Her main research interests deal with the relationship between design and scientific & technological innovation, with a particular focus on emerging materials for product and interior design. Since 2014 she has been a member of the Executive Board of ADI, Coordinator of the Scientific Committee for Longterm Professional Development of Designers, and member of the Committee for International Projects for ADI. From 2013 to 2016 she was member of the “Osservatorio permanente del Design” (Jury for ADI Index year selection) in the section: Materials and Technological Systems.
